Currently Professor of Sociology and Anthropology at Cheikh Anta DIOP University in Dakar (SENEGAL) and principal investigator of the project “Uses of artificial intelligence in the fight against Covid-19: local adaptability and social acceptability for ethical and responsible AI (Senegal and Mali),” launched with co-funding from the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). He specializes in the socio-anthropology of health and evaluative research on health policies and systems in Africa.
