A professor at the Berger University of Management in Saint-Louis, where he teaches digital law. Professor Niane is currently Permanent Secretary of the Senegalese Personal Data Commission (CDP), having served as its Director of Legal Affairs and Litigation from 2016 to 2020. He participates as an expert in several programs on digital technology and artificial intelligence in Africa and internationally (Global Privacy Assembly, African Union, Council of Europe). He is currently coordinating the reform of Senegalese legislation on personal data and the work of the Data Protection Flagship (Smart Africa Alliance).
