Dr Abdoul Alpha DIA

He holds a PhD in Economics (specializing in the economics of education) from the University of Burgundy (Dijon, France) since 2005. Since 2013, he has been a lecturer and researcher at Cheikh Hamidou Kane Digital University (UN-CHK), where he held the position of Director of Studies, Research, and Innovation (DERI) from 2013 to 2021. Since 2021, he has been in charge of the FCC (“Training for Certificates of Competence”) component within the FORCE-N (“Open Training for Skills Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship in Digital Technology”) program, set up by UN-CHK with financial support from the Mastercard Foundation. Abdoul Alpha DIA is the author of numerous scientific works on education financing, the impact of human capital, the match between training and employment, research and innovation, digital education, entrepreneurship, and more. He is also the author of several books (“L’École du Futur” [The School of the Future], L’Harmattan, 2016; “Inégalités économiques et systèmes des inégalités au Sénégal” [Economic Inequalities and Systems of Inequality in Senegal], L’Harmattan, 2018) and has contributed to several collective works. In addition, Abdoul Alpha DIA has been the national coordinator for Senegal of ROCARE (Research Network in Education for West and Central Africa) since 2018, and Secretary General of the Association of Senegalese Economists (since 2020).
